Collection: DANSHUU Edition 03 - Motherhood

The mother's belly is like the softest yet strongest presence in this world, much like how we view our everyday wear as a form of armour in the society, a blend of softness and strength, a 'feather' that shields. 

Drawing inspiration from artist @Potia Lee's piece 'Why Tender Shell' as props and setting, this collection aims to convey the social phenomena and profound reflections the designer has always sought to reflect through the brand.

In a world still predominantly influenced by male-dominated societies, women seem unable to escape their inherent nature—childbearing. Even in modern times, every woman's right to choose and decide on her own reproduction isn't absolute.

Despite technological advancements and societal progress granting women more choices in bearing the responsibility of birthing the next generation, in situations where bodily freedom and rights are restricted or taken away, individuals naturally lose absolute autonomy, merely becoming tools for others. The fate of the human womb seems no different from that of other creatures on Earth. Who really drives this society?

People tend to naturally categorise known things within fixed mindsets, much like the belief that women must bear offspring and men must embody strength and bravery. Or that women must dress elegantly and exhibit intelligence, while men must adhere to a rugged masculine ideal.

The DANSHUU Edition 03 collection continues to embody a beauty without gender boundaries, allowing for the free expression of ourselves while breaking free from the constraints of societal norms.
